Band of Gypsys is, in my opinion, the greatest live Blues-Rock album. It borders on the sublime! It requires meticulous preparation, but expresses itself through radical and absolute spontaneity and creativity.
It is in this spirit that Hendrix 2.0 wants to pay tribute to this extraordinary artist that was Jimi Hendrix, as well as to all of these great songs that forever marked the history of Blues-Rock, such as Manic Depression, Fire, Purple Haze, Little Wing, Voodoo Child, All Along The Watchtower, Crosstown Traffic, Foxy Lady, Angel, ...
For this Tribute Band, I surround myself with the cream of Belgian Blues-Rock: the essential René Stock on bass whose musical culture is matched only by his abysmal stage experience and the impressive Domenico Ferlisi-Greco who, behind his subtleties as a fine percussionist, reveals an explosive drummer whose soul is definitely rock.
If we respect the spirit that Jimi instilled in the interpretation of his songs, any tribute paid to him is always a Hendrix 2.0, that is to say a Hendrix with a new look!
